Artistic expressions

  I am a multidisciplinary artist born in Lagos, Nigeria based in Brooklyn, New York. My art is heavily influenced by my Nigerian heritage and the diverse black communities I've lived in. I use a variety of mediums, including photography and directing, to explore themes of Black beauty, masculinity, and style with a focus on self-love, self-discovery, and play. I particularly enjoy self-portrait photography as it allows me to document and capture my own essence as a black man.My work celebrates  new narratives about Black beauty, masculinity and style.I accomplish this by creating compositions that centre the black body to explore color and light. My goal is to create meaningful and impactful art that showcases and celebrates the beauty and diversity of the black body.
